Chemical-Related Waste Disposal

Version 1 - Last updated 06 Aug 2026

Waste (chemical-related and non-chemical-related) generation is an inherent part of the production process.

Chemical-related waste can have severe environmental and health impacts if not properly managed. Uncontrolled disposal of such substances can contaminate water and soil, threatening ecosystems and nearby communities.

There are two requirements for chemical-related waste disposal:

1
Source reduction
Chemical-related process outputs are reduced, reused, or recycled where possible
2
Safe disposal
Chemical-related waste is transported and disposed of safely
