Set Paris Agreement aligned targets to reduce GHG emissions against the baseline year

Version 2 - Last updated 06 Aug 2026

Paris Agreement aligned GHG reduction targets

Suppliers who have not yet set up Paris Agreement aligned GHG reduction targets can:

  • Select the baseline year. (Baseline year shall not be later that 2019)
  • Calculate the baseline year GHG emissions - Scope 1 and Scope 2 calculations.
  • Choose the Net Zero target year. (Target year shall be 2050 or earlier year)
  • Track GHG emissions reductions Year on Year starting from the baseline year.

SBTi validated GHG reduction target

Supplier who already have SBTi validated GHG reduction target in place or who have already set up baseline and Science Aligned Target for GHG reduction for other programmes - Manufacturer Climate Action Program (MCAP) by Cascle:

  • Can skip the baseline year calculation step in the Air Emission Module.
  • Still need to select the baseline year and directly report their Scope 1 & Scope 2 GHG emissions.
  • Once the baseline year is selected and GHG emissions are directly reported, suppliers can generate a report with Year on Year GHG emissions reduction targets aligned with UNFCCC Fashion Charter Climate action goal of 2030 and Paris agreement Net Zero goal of 2050.
  • The Year on Year reduction targets can be tracked against the set target.

Implementation

Suppliers should:

Note: Since ZDHC is also the supporting member of the UNFCCC Fashion Charter, the Air Emissions Module->Target Setting section has incorporated the interim goal of 2030 by default to cut down 50% of the GHG emissions from the baseline year (Baseline year shall not be later that 2019).

The above requirements to be fulfilled using the Air Emissions Module accessible through the Supplier Platform.
