Record all input materials purchased in the ZDHC MIL and keep it updated
A facility's input materials purchased should be recorded as per the ZDHC Materials Inventory List (MIL), which should be updated monthly.
If the facility uses an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or an in-house template to record input material, it may continue to do so, provided all the information required under the ZDHC MIL is captured within those systems.
The ZDHC MIL template should be completed with information at three levels: Foundational, Progressive and Aspirational for input materials purchased in the facility.
Foundational
Basic information about the material suppliers, material type, form, material supplier's engagement in ZDHC Suppliers to Zero (StZ), self-declaration from material suppliers/vendors, etc.
Progressive
Lot/batch number, third-party certification details of input materials.
Aspirational
Information on the due diligence process of input material suppliers, non-conformities, root cause analysis and corrective action plan to monitor restricted substances risks in input materials.
