InCheck Reporting
Introduction
ZDHC InCheck Reporting helps suppliers demonstrate their efforts to implement sustainable chemical management at their facility by focusing on input chemical formulations and their conformance with the ZDHC Chemicals to Zero - Foundational (ZDHC MRSL Conformance V2.1) and Progressive Levels.
Through ZDHC InCheck Reporting, suppliers can demonstrate conformance to their stakeholders and continuously improve Chemicals to Zero conformance of their chemical inventory.
ZDHC InCheck Reporting comprises of a Performance Incheck Report that summarises the conformance of the input chemical inventory, self-uploaded by a supplier, to Chemicals to Zero, including the ZDHC MRSL Level 1, 2, 3 conformance at the Foundational Level.
The credibility and transparency of this self-uploaded inventory by a supplier are verified through two levels of confidence via on-site verification. The supplier can select either of the following:
- Verified InCheck Level 1
- Verified Incheck Level 2
Facility Scope for InCheck Reporting
To ensure that expectations are proportionate to the scale and complexity of chemical use, different requirements and performance thresholds apply depending on the volume of chemical formulations used by the facility and the type of products manufactured.
For the purposes of differentiating those in scope for InCheck Reporting, facilities are grouped into the following categories:
- Standard chemical users: Facilities that use more than 10 chemical formulations per month on average and more than 100 kg of chemical formulations per month on average, excluding footwear and accessory finished product manufacturers (e.g. textile processing facilities and leather processing facilities such as beamhouses and tanneries).
- Footwear and accessory manufacturers: Facilities that manufacture footwear and/or accessory as a finished product (e.g. bags, wallets, belts, luggage and similar accessories), excluding leather processing facilities such as beamhouses and tanneries, and use more than 10 chemical formulations per month on average and more than 100 kg of chemical formulations per month on average.
- Low chemical users: Facilities that use 10 or less chemical formulations per month on average and 100 kg or less of chemical formulations per month on average.
Standard chemical users and footwear and accessory manufacturers meeting the defined thresholds are in scope for InCheck Reporting, while it remains optional for low chemical users.
