An ETP on-site assessment is conducted at a facility by a ZDHC Approved ETP Reviewer. Suppliers should contact such a reviewer through the ZDHC Find Your Experts platform.
The ETP assessment is a semi-announced visit. Therefore, the ETP reviewer should provide a 2-week window to the facility, during which time the on-site assessment can be conducted on a working day during those two weeks.
On the day of the on-site assessment, the supplier should support ZDHC Approved ETP Reviewer for the following:
- Facilitate access to the facility operations and ETP for the ETP reviewer’s walkthrough.
- Ensure the safety of the ETP reviewer and provide the relevant PPE to them for the walkthrough wherever required.
- Ensure that all relevant department employees are present in this meeting (Production, EHS, Quality, Chemical Management, Utility, ETP team, Human Resource).
- Conduct the introductions.
- Formulate the day’s plan.
- Nominate a 'Guide' to accompany the ETP reviewer during the on-site assessment throughout the day.
- Discuss any issue that could be of importance to the on-site assessment and where clarification is required from the facility or the ETP team.
- Authorise the ETP reviewer to interview relevant ETP personnel, take photographs and copy documents and records that may form part of the assessment report.
- Provide access to all locations relevant to the assessment.
- Provide all documents and records as requested by the ETP reviewer.
- Allow the interview of key personnel to confirm findings.
- Allow and help ETP Reviewers to take note of visual observations and photos during the walkthrough.
After the on-site visit
- The facility should ensure that all the required details needed by the ETP reviewer for finalising the report are provided to them during the on-site visit.
- The facility should follow up with the ETP reviewer to collect the ETP Assessment Report and ensure that the report is sent to them by the ETP reviewer within five working days from the date of the on-site ETP assessment.
